Default Big Snake in house

A big black snake came in for a visit today ! About 5 ft long and very fast.

I shooed him/her out only to find 2 more very smaller ones about 12in long.

Just out of curiosity, "HOW" DID YOU SHOE HIM OUT???

He obeyed? Was it the laundry room? Or.......??? Yikes.

What if it had gone unnoticed by you and took up residence under your sofa or bed? Five feet is pretty long........with two babies of one foot each?

Can they climb up onto furniture, etc.??? Thanks.....

Where was this, and how did it get inside your home?

Are you located by a wetland or preserve area?

Thumbs up

Good response to a "friendly" snake. Not poisonous, probably a Rat Snake or King Snake. You will not have small critters about if one of them is around.

Just please tell us if you left your door open, if it came into the garage part of your home, if the other snakes were near where this one entered.

Gamby. How do you think this snake got into your home?

People need to learn that proximity to a wetland and the presence of snakes have nothing to do with each other.

Did one answer to the name of "Kay?" Did she slither away singing a Willlie Nelson medley? Was a divorce decree written on her shred skin?

It was probably a Her. The 5 footer might have been my ex-wife looking for money. I do not know about the little ones, she is too old to have babies!

many of us, maybe most of us that have screened porches leaves the doors open. That is one way they get in. If there is a hole/space the size of a pencil eraser, if their head fits they com in...spaces under bird cage doors....spaces at the end of garage doors, leaving garage doors open.

They won't stay long or they die as there is nothing in our habitat they really need or like (I suppose there could be 'something' ....but not for long).

First reaction ....after the fear is to arm ones self and kill the intruder. Please try to resist that reaction......and just shoooo them out as it does work (can be a challenge but it works).
