Someone I know asked me how homes were rented in TV and I haven't the faintest idea. Are there marketing companies? Does one go thru Properties Of The Villages? Is there a rental board? Thanks.

Some owners use local Property Managers or local real estate companies to rent out their houses, who charge a commission. Others use [www.flipkey.com, ocala.craigslist.com (under vacation rentals), rentthevillages.com, thevillagesforrentbyowner.com, rentinginthevillages.com, or other internet rental sites...such as Zillow.com, Trulia.com.

I tried using a local property management company and a local real estate company, but had terrible luck with them. I then switched to flipkey.com and ocala.craiglist.com (under vacation properties) and have had much better luck.
