I also use them, but with online banking and bill-paying, much less than I used to. Not buying many stamps either.

KNC - I agree, I use no more than 2 stamps per month (other than Christmas cards of course).

If you use a GPS such as GARMIN, it will not recognize The Villages as your location...you neeed to put in Lady Lake even if you reside in 32162

Default Ah yes but ...........

You are correct in that "most" GPS' do not recognize The Villages. I have a Magellan and it gives you the option to enter a city, town or Village, if is is not included in the GPS menu. Put in your zip and viola!! LL now becomes The Villages for all intensive purposes.
My main rub is that WE do NOT live in Lady Lake. We reside just off of 42 in Marion County. I may be incorrect, but I do believe most of the Villages is NOT within the Lady Lake town limits. I see signs "entering Lady Lake limits." But I never see any signs saying, "Leaving Lady Lake". Guess that would be like hello and goodby signs at the Weirsdale city limits.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

I'm just curious, how does a Lady Lake versus a TV address affect us....GN

With my sincere and abject apologies, it seems I misunderstood someone. Awhile ago, I had been talking to a traveling/fill-in vet who told me about the practice of charging different rates for TV and non-TV residents. At least, that is what I understood was said. I asked for the name of the vet who did this. It turns out the conversation was not about the vet per se but rather about craftsmen (plumbers, etc.) who had different rates for TV and for surrounding areas. Apparently, the vet's assistant said this was a common practice.

Might be interesting to get local friends to call some repair people and get estimates and then have the same done for the same job in TV.

So, I am very sorry for misspeaking. That will teach me to say something without first-hand knowledge (or at least a disclaimer).

Don't worry Red, you are O-K. The problem today, is that people have to worry about OFFENDING someone. In the world today, people are so concerned about being so politicly correct, not wanting to hurt someone's feelings. People should grow thicker skins and not be too eager to find fault in everything people say, or in here, write. Amen.

Thanks to all! I have decided to go with The Villages. I put our new address in the USPS web site, once with Lady Lake and once with The Villages, and the zip came back the same for both. I personally prefer The Villages. So, The Villages, FL 32159-9430 it will be!!

Now, on to figuring out internet, cable and phone.
