Default Villages newspaper

Just read the article about the bigfoot. Why does the villages paper put that on the front page when there are important issues that should be reported on here.

It is the holidays and they don't want to have to write too many new articles.

Like what? What would the Villages Daily Sun reporters find to report of interest to Villagers? You can get much of the other news off of the Internet.

All day long you can get up to the minute national news on the television.

Even so, it does seem strange that an article about the Swamp Ape would take precedence over Bhuto's assassination.

They just get these stories--like Bhuto's assassination-- off the News Wire anyway. They did do a good job with the February 2, 2007 tornadoes.

Why do you think we refer to it as the "la la" paper? All good news, all the time! Never anything important.

One of my peeves with the Sun is when they mention an upcoming event, they don't give real details (ie) a date and time. Irritating.

And when good-news Sun reports on legislative action in Washington or Tallahassee, they do not say how our local reps voted...despite letters urging them to do so.
Why does the Sun not want us to know how our elected reps voted?

I like it too but I am a bit biased since Mr. Gary Corsair wrote an article about me that appeared on Memorial Day, May 28, 2007. Nice man too. He also was the person who wrote the Big Foot articles on Thursday and Friday, December 27 and 28th, 2007.

I thought that the Villages Daily Sun writers handled the February 2, 2007 tornadoes that hit around the Villages better than most of the national news programs.
