Default VILLAGES Engineers

I've been wondering for the longest time what engineers are responsible for the horrific engineering here. UNBELIEVABLE so much of the designing they've done that is horrible at best, not to mention so unsafe, yet the money paid well I'm sure!!
So frustrating!!

What "horrific engineering"are you referring to? It couldn't possibly be the system that prevents flooding in the residential areas and routes all the excess rain waters to the golf courses, could it?

A little detail would be nice, what are you talking about. You need to list your complete thought. Are you talking homes, driveways, roads, paths, ponds, golf courses, squares, retail, tunnels, bridges, pools, rec center and on and on…

… I think all these things are great.

Do you specific “engineering” issues that you could expand on? I’m a retired engineer and would be interested to hear your concerns.

And what are your credentials to judge this "horrible" engineering?

Candy .... If I were you, I think I would close this thread. I don't see it being pleasant or productive.

Default ?

Compared to other places that allow carts the layout of the cart traffic coexisting bridges, tunnels and stores is awesome

The villages is the most beautiful place I have ever lived. Impeccable designing. After coming down from up north I feel like I’m at Disney world every day.

Most things are exactly right here in The Villages but there are exceptions. Our 5 year old roads in Soulliere Villas to the north will probably be torn up in the near future so drainage can be rectified. As it is now a high water table pushes water/soil up where the road meets the concrete apron. In many places the concrete apron or sidewalk has cracked and has been pushed up 6 inches higher than the roadway. CDD 4 is trying to hold the developer responsible. This will be a very expensive fix.

The engineering in TV is amazing. Highly efficient and effective.

Hopefully this continues with all the massive expansion and the sheer number of people.

We’ve lived here for sixteen years and have often thought how thoughtfully and well designed The Villages was. If you’re going to post a criticism like this, it seems to me that you ought to provide a listing of your specific “engineering criticisms”.
