Default Aldi to buy Florida-based Winn-Dixie grocery stores

I wonder what that does to the planned Winn Dixie on Micro RaceTrack Rd? Hate to see another option lost, even though I do like
Aldi's.
Aldi to buy Florida-based Winn-Dixie grocery stores. Here'''s what that means

This is great news. We always shop at Aldi first to save lots of $$. Then, if needed, we run into Publix if we couldn't find something on our list.

As far as I can tell, they are keeping the Winn-Dixies as Winn-Dixies so it does not appear to impact the public.

Aldi said after the sale it plans to operate Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket under their brand names, but said it would evaluate each location and may decide to convert some locations into the Aldi store format.

If they have that stupid 25-cent cart rental deposit, they will lose my business.

Then you must love going to Walmart.

That cart thing is something I always liked about Aldi's. Keeps the parking lot tidy and neat.

I don't like Walmart because they don't stock the same products consistently. I tried to save money at Walmart over Publix on roasted chickens, but I found out that half the time I would go there, they had no chickens. Now, my main go to store is Publix. Occasionally, I go to Winn Dixie. Never Walmart or Aldis. I went to Sprouts a few times until they started charging for reusable plastic bags. That was enough to lose my business.

Love Fresh Market, Publix and Sprouts. Went to Aldi's once and left without buying anything.

It does that, and often you can pass on a cart (no charge),
and make someone smile! πŸ˜€

Walmart is too far away from Marsh Bend to even be a consideration. Don't like Walmart anyway, trying to be everything to everybody, and seldom works for us. .

Winn Dixie purchase is a cheap way to get land and buildings to expand. .
Build versus buy financial decision. .

Minimal impact except for potentially a better offerings at Winn Dixie.

You must be a very nice person. I have been given a cart and then passed it on,gives much pleasure to both the giver and the receiver.

Two stores we don’t like much merge, highly unlikely the surviving entity will be any better.

It is annoying but 1 purchase at Aldi saves a lot more than .25
