Personally I have no real idea what they were smoking because, as I said in my original post, I was in grad school and could not risk losing a single brain cell.
A long time ago in a place far, far away (Pittsburgh), a newspaper did a study of what was used to "cut" the WEED and Rat Poison was used more than Oregano. Sad as that is to report. That Rat Poison might be the reason that continuous users of WEED became less alert.
........And that story goes a long way toward explaining why it is good to legalize it and get some standards of production and quality.

Yes, plus there is the added benefit that by legalizing something the state and other legitimate business owners get the profits that would otherwise go to gangs and organized crime.

Yet some states tax so much many continue to buy from the black market. Unfortunately, the cartels are still thriving.

There is an INTERESTING story as to HOW marijuana came to be considered more dangerous than alcohol. I won't get this perfect, but it will be good enough that someone could look it up for more info. Patty Hearst's grandfather or great-grandfather owned tons of newspapers some out West like San Francisco. He also owned many acres of timber which he sent to paper mills to make his newspaper's paper. Well, it turns out that hemp is said to make FINE paper. Hearst did NOT want the hemp competition for paper so he decided to turn people AGAINST marijuana and hemp. He commissioned a movie maker to make a movie called something like, "The Devil's Weed" and it portrayed marijuana as causing people smoking it to go crazy and turn into Zombies.
......That is the best that I can do from memory.

Other than that we need to fins a way where state laws do not contradict federal laws in regards to this.
Small amounts of red wine are known to be beneficial!

Then, there's the small problem of federal regulations. Those marijuana stores in states where it is legal, can't use the banks for their business (deposits, checking, savings etc.).
Maybe they have to launder it?
There is a nasty smell that comes from the older golf carts and they drive by and that has to be bad for your lungs.

Again, Fentanyl is the real "Devil Killer" not pot. And Fentanyl is being produced in China, probably for the sole purpose of weakening America, while making China lots of MONEY. I believe that it is coming in through Mexico, which is SUPPOSED (?) to be a US allie.

Not really. Most committed other crimes, but pled down to simple possession...

An actual Google search (pretty easy to do) turned up nothing related to cheap paper...

It did turn up this:

The Wrath of Anslinger and Hearst Was One of the Worst - Potency No. 710

The hatred was based in racism...
