We lucked out and got a "cherry" refurb cart with the pre-owned house we bought. It is not what I would have bought but they threw it in, so it'll do nicely for now. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a refurb cart after owning one.

If you buy a pre-owned pay attention to the irrigation system. Ours was pooched and we had to have it replaced. The Seller didn't install donuts and the sprinkler heads were demolished. Our irrigation system was more like a water fountain.

If it's been less than 30 days since you purchased your TV's from Best Buy and you still have your receipt, I believe they will give you the lower "Black Friday" price and refund the difference.

One may not realize it but these little "tidbits" of information really do help newbies! Every little bit of information helps a newbie make decisions and there are so many to make! Thanks!

And a corollary: ALWAYS make sure your checkbook is close at hand when you come to visit TV. High likelihood that you'll be strokin' a check for buying something nice.........even though you "just came to visit and look around"!!

7. There are three things I would never have done up north. One is to add
Sink hole insurance to local home insurance. Second is to get golf cart
Insurance. Third is to have surge protector for electric appliances. Just
Call the electric company. You can either rent or buy the service. I
Bought the surge protector when we came this go around. I'll do the
Golf cart insurance a few days before the delivery of the cart. As for
sink hole insurance, I did it when we bought the house. Apparently
if there is a sink hole problem even at an adjacent lot from you but is
Connected to your lot, your home will depreciate in value substantially.

8. When we bought our home our neighbor suggested we get an independent
Consultant to check the house for any defects before the warranty was up.
I think this was a good advice. We did this in December about 10 months
Into our purchase.

9. You really get lots of good information on TOTV. Eventually most people
who buy in TV has to get stairs for the attic. They don't come with the
house. Having read TOTV comments, I went with Tim the Toolman. 352
217 0562. He did a great job. There is one question I have. Why
he didn't attach heat resistant panel for the outside of the stairs which
was in the attic. Apparently you need this for insurance. I also
used Michael's Auto 352 365 2955 for minor repair. They were helpful.
You may want to look at Nuts and Bolts Threads for other comments.
I am planning to put a few more gutter areas and looking into M & M
Gutters. Will write about my experience.

10. My general observations about TOTV comments both favorable or
otherwise. If you notice comments from members who have been
posting for a long time, their comments can be taken at face value
most of the time. I am a little concerned about comments especially
recommendation from some with less than 10 postings and after
that disappears. I can not help but to think some PR or other
motives going on. Just saying buyers be aware.
