Just an FYI...if you have CenturyLink for internet, but choose not to have a landline telephone, you will still have an active dial tone on your phone line and can call 911 from it. Being able to call 911 was the main reason I kept a landline for the past few years but once we hooked up with CenturyLink for internet and realized we’d have that option without paying for a landline, we went strictly cell for phone services.

Wish I had read this before I had Century Link installed. I have a few friends who love it.....recording lots of shows and watching HD on 2 different TVs. Well, the installers were here yesterday and I supposedly live too far away from the "box" which is at the mailboxes. (in Sunset Pte about 2 blocks from the mailbox) So I can only get 1 HD line!!! For the same price!! So if I watch an HD program in living room, other TVs are not on HD. But the worse part was when tonight I was going to record one show and watch another at 8. I could not watch the 2nd program in HD since I was recording in HD!! Back to Comcast I go....why have HD TVs if you cannot use them!! So be sure to ask how many HD lines you will be able to get before falling for all this hype.
