I think how the pricing matching the product varies by state. In MI they would have to match the price plus give you at least an additional $1.00 could be up to 5 times the difference in price. I seem to remember this cut down quickly on pricing errors. NJ did not have that law as I found out. I am assuming that FL operates the same way as when I have pointed it out was told they do not have to match as mistake was made. However, at least I have found that, Publix does and Sweetbay did. Haven't had issue with Winn Dixie yet

Almost every supermarket has its "loss leaders". I'm not going to drive out my gas or use my time to travel around to actually lose money in the long run. If that's your hobby or "thing" to do with your time---no problem.

You wonder how some people make it to manager?

If I'm not mistaken that "unreasonable price" you mention was printed up and posted by Aldi's. They then refused to remove it. Why do you suppose they would do that?
The incorrect sign was still in place yesterday, but I did them a favor and moved it before I left. Oh, before the fake outrage about "stealing their sign", I didn't remove it from the store; I just placed it where it wouldn't "accidentally" mislead customers.

So I never returned and I have repeated this story to everyone. There are no yellow signs but there are other ways to cheat a customer.

I have been pleased with the groceries and service over there, otherwise I would not have suggested the place. Possibly I have just been lucky.

I've been shopping at Summerfield Aldi's since they first opened several years ago and have never had a problem getting the lower shelf price.

What to do? After everything has been rung up, check your receipt before you leave the store. If you were charged more than what was marked on the shelf, you go back and tell the cashier. It doesn't happen very often; but when it does happen, they will give you a refund.

However, now that someone has moved the sign for the OPs beef product, you may have no basis to complain.

If the amount of money involved would cause them to call the police and have you arrested then it is a big deal in my book. I will be very careful at ALDI and by the way, these vendors are not the nice local retailers of old.

Most stores, when they make a mistake like that, will honor the lower price. I don't think it's a conspiracy, but if they were very busy doing their jobs, the incorrect price wouldn't have been up there to begin with. So it should be their loss. How much does a dollar count against customer good will?

But I have to confess, the ambiance and product presentation at Fresh Market makes it appealing.
