and when it's raining, there will be puddles of water left...don't want the water to end up under the tiles so wondering if anyone has some sort of mat idea for over the tiles...

IMHO, any mat will become a tripping hazard. Your garage floor is sloped to the garage door, so a large amount of water will simply drain the garage door. The small amount that you are talking about should simply evaporate. I have a couple of friends that have these types of floors and they have never mentioned any concerns or problems with water.
