Default Weather in TV?

We're flying in for our Lifestyles Tour on Saturday, and I'm trying to pack right now. I see at the Villages website that it's only 75 degrees? Is that right? It's 99 here, and has been for weeks. Is it really that cool in TV? Does it feel colder or hotter with the humidity? Should I pull out the shorts and bathing suit and bring long pants and sweaters? LOL
Seriously, do any of you good folks have advice about what should I pack? :dontknow: Thanks for any information. I'm excited! :hot: :hot:

How cold-blooded are you? If you're always cold, bring a sweater or two -- the rec centers and restaurants can be cool. If you're like me, you'll pray to be cold at least once in awhile. In other words, bring shorts, capris, short-sleeves or sleeveless. Right now, the rain seems to be coming late morning, early afternoon.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and never put on long pants (or sweaters, jackets, etc.) except for the airplane travel.

Bring 1 pair of long pants for dinner at Lopez, otherwise shorts. No sweaters needed but maybe a light goretex windbreaker (no lining) for the afternoon rain.

Welcome. We will be here until Wednesday. Please stop by and see me. Also the door is open to any of my TOTV friends. Just PM me so we won't be at Publix or something.

Thanks everybody! Your answers are just what I needed!
This thread almost sounds like the joke on the other forum about the differences between men & women!

John & Sidney, Bless your hearts! Your guy-ness is wonderful. You both sound just like Mr. Judy! It will be hot, then it will cool down considerabley, then it will be fabulous -- and I definitely won't need long pants or sweaters. Mr. Judy actually asked my why I would take a sweater. LOL

On the other hand, Red, Granny, Mallory go straight to the specifics! Sweater for air conditioning, short sleeves or sleeveless for outside, capris, long pants for Lopez, goretex windbreaker for the rain... And Graciegirl invited me to stop by!

Thanks so much to everybody for all the excellent advice. Now I have to go repack a little bit, put some self-tanner on my blindingly white legs, & write the note for the house-sitter. We're leaving tomorrow night for our early flight Saturday, so if you don't hear from me it's because I don't have internet access.

I'm excited! :hot: :hot:

Not to be too personal, but if you happen to be LDS you can worship in Belleview or Clermont. Since we are not, I don't know if there is a required attire.

Mallory, thanks for thinking of us, but no, we're not LDS, so the only appropriate attire I need to worry about is for the Villages. Do you think I will need fancy clothes for the country clubs or Katie Belles? I still have time to repack one more time 8)

Hope during your visit you manage to connect up with some of the TOTV folk. We're all really friendly; we ourselves are up north at the moment and won't be getting down to TV till late in August. Talk to people as much as you can; that's the way to get a good feel of TV and its offerings and amenities. You can't not have a great time!!! Have a safe trip!

judy, if nothing else, get thee to Savannah Center to access the puter and let us know when/where to meet you. Best is to try to meet up at the clock at LSL. I'm sure at least a couple of people will make the effort to you and your hubby.

Thanks Redwitch! I will get myself to the Savannah Center by hook or by crook! I can't wait to finally meet you folks! It will be really strange to not be in contact via the internet for a few days.

Sidney, I'm sorry you won't be there. Maybe next time?

Clekr (sigh), you sound EXACTLY like Mr. Judy! He can't understand why I would need more than a few shorts and shirts, and he said I should take a hat so I don't have to "mess with" my hair. I have tried explaining to him that it's not about the shorts and shirts... it's about all the other clothes. I could fill a suitcase with the shoes I might need.

And speaking of shoes, Mallory, I repacked (yet again) and added the dancing shoes!

Hope to see you all at the clock! :hot: :hot: :hot:
