Now I’m confused. I’ve seen the interior walls of CYV painted with beautiful murals and I’ve seen them painted to match the color of their stuccoed house. I understood that what is done behind the walls of your CYV is pretty much open season. I need to have my walls painted and intend to match my house color

Villages Home Warranty does not have the info. I checked online and called (352.753.6222) but they could only tell me what color my house was but not the outer wall color.

They referred me to Community Standards (352.751.3912) who are looking for the answer but have not gotten back to me.

Home Warranty also referred me to the Development Office (352.875.6219) where I left a message and am waiting.

Home Warranty also said just take a paint chip to the paint store. How do I remove a big enough chip from a stucco wall? Since the paint on my wall is very faded will it match? I asked if the Villages would mind if the new paint wasn't an exact match to the original paint. They wouldn't commit.

So there's my question -- how do I find out the original color of my CYV perimeter wall?

Thanks - Mark
I found it. It is Olive Fog 8171 W

Even though it says olive, it is not green by any stretch! PM me if you want to see the color. I dont want to put my address on here.

Keep in mind that even if you get the color because of the sun fading the color it will not match anyways. I would say pick a color close and paint the whole wall. Good luck

Other option would be to get several of the paint chip cards and hold these up to the shaded area and pick the one that is closest to the color of the wall. Then use that to get the correct paint for stucco. You will also need to get the correct knapp roller for stucco.
Really? Take a close-up pic with your phone if you can’t find the code. Don’t destroy your wall. I like Florida Paint suggestion. Unit & lot #s should get it done.

Make sure you get approval, once painted you cannot remove. The Villages has odd rules and I thought when we had our villa the wall belonged to TV

I had that issue. We took a paint chip from behind the electrical outlet cover. They said it needed to be the size of a dime but ours was a little smaller. Took it to Lowes and they matched it perfectly. I needed some of the standard white, which isn't standard as you think, and they also knew by the year my home was built which white the villages used. They were great. Hope this helps you. BTW, you can also get a sample from beneath a light switch cover.

I don't think the perimeter wall in the backyard has an electrical outlet or a light switch. The wall is not even part of the house.

Try the Florida Paints store on Wedgewood Ln. That is who (so I am told) supplies all the paint for homes in TV. We’ve Been there and they were very helpful.

Just chip off a piece of paint and take it to Lowe’s, they will be able to find the color

Can you please share the match? We have a CYV nearby and also need to paint our perimeter wall soon. Thanks!
