Walking on the beachs of the Outerbanks every morning.
Prior to living there, I miss spring and fall in Pa.

Default Virginia is for Lovers

Annabelle - Beautifully written.

I agree with you. I was born and raised in Richmond and even though I moved away from there in the 80's, I still
miss all the things you mentioned - being surrounded by history as you are in the Old Dominion, so close to
DC's numerous cultural events as well as those in Richmond, the beaches of Virginia Beach and the Bay, Williamsburg,
the four seasons, my childhood and school friends who are still there.
However, while sentiment remains, once in The Villages, it's like a whole new life begins - it's Paradise and Fun City all in one!
You will love it.

Been here nine years and haven't missed a thing.

I missed more when I moved from Jax Fl to NJ back in 1976. But then I got used to it up there and quit missing things from down here.

Now I am back (but in a different part of Florida) and all is good.

I am not surprised. You are the most agreeable and calmest New York Yankee fan I know!

Default What I miss

I miss my house and boys...that's it! The history of Richmond is not allowed anymore...it's not PC! Now I do miss that also.

OMG.....I was so surprised to see this! Yes, Oliver's candies are good! I am at work right now at the firehouse about 1/2 a mile from there, and will drive right by it on the way home soon. For those interested, Oliver's has a website, and sell and ship all over.

A few years ago they expanded....they now make their own ice cream, etc....it is quite good. Actually, my next door neighbor manages the place! Small world.

Frank

I miss my family and friends who are there, which is why I go back to Louisville every month for a few days; and I miss having a big modern mall nearby; not just for shopping, but for a place to go walking indoors when it is raining or cold here; Skyline Chili; going to Churchill Downs; U of Louisville basketball games; having an airport nearby; and events at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. But, I still prefer living here.

Default Alaska

I missed moose and caribou hunting this year. I miss fresh fresh halibut, cod, salmon and crab. What I don't mis is the loooong cold winters and that is why we are very happy to be here in TV.
