Default What the h...!!!???

The economy melts down, people are numb and in shock... so what does Congress do? Go on vacation!! I give up.

Default They can afford it......

Imagine the money making opportunity that one with some fore knowledge of the market behavior had over the past few trading days?

A quick phone call to your broker an hour before an announcement was made - "The bill's going to pass", "The bill didn't pass" - a little advanced knowledge about a few of those momentous announcements, and you could make a tidy fortune!

Not that I am the cynical type who would suspect our elected representatives to take advantage of a situation like this.....

Right on there... years ago when i thought i was a market hot shot and knew nothing I fooled around with "puts and calls". Some made a tidy sum gambling yesterday. But then again, thats part of the problem... making mone with NO PRODUCT. That's how this mes boiled over... selling and reselling and re-reselling mortages... yet there only ever was one house. It was almost like a ponzie scheme.
