We thought we would tear out the vinyl ASAP, but we love it. It is easy under foot, doesn't show dirt, easy to clean and really much more attractive than we ever thought it could be.

When we get ready to make a change, we will look at the Luxury Vinyl. It is a beautiful, durable, comfortable product.

We have talked to several who put in laminate as we had planned, and have been disappointed. Foot prints show, it's loud, dust shows. So we are not in a rush to change anything. But when we do, we will look at vinyl first. We love our builder vinyl! What a surprise!!

With the piano finish on our laminate our cat used to wet his feet and walk all over the laminate floor. His footprints dried and showed until I mopped it. With pets I would think the hand scraped look might work better because they aren't so smooth and shiney to show the footprints. However the laminate we have installed is not loud at all, it is high grade and came with a sponge coating on the bottom of the planks. We put in one area rug and it was enough to take care of any echo. You do not hear anything when you walk on it.

Since I work for Shaw, we replaced all the Mohawk carpet with Shaw Epic engineered hardwood.

We put a solid click float bamboo in our front entry here in Seattle and we love it but I don't know how it would work if it had furniture on it. Ours is much more dense than many I have seen and a dark cherry color and can be refinished as it is 1/2 in solid. We went with this as there are pipes running under the slab in this location and it could be pulled up and put back down if repairs were ever needed. I am concerned that if I replace the carpet with tile in the villages house and a pipe needs fixing it will be a disaster.

we have all ceramic tile in our house. In our other house, we had a really nice laminate in the whole house.

We replaced our carpet with the tile that looks like wood. We actually went with the barn siding looking wood and absolutely love the look. The tiles are different so it has a very cool effect. I will say that it's hard on the feet and takes some getting used to.

With pets, we decided to replace the carpet in our new CYV with tile that looks like wood. The only carpet left is in the bedrooms. We love it and the look! They have several colors to go with any decor. We went with a lighter wood color that went well with our Oak cupboards.

After 13 years of all tile, we moved into a new house that came with carpet which we thought we would replace but it is so nice on our feet and our legs don't ache anymore. We put scatter mats in the kitchen over the tile and find ourselves leaping from mat to mat to not walk on the hard tile. Who knew we would like the carpet so much. It's a surprise to us Floridians.

We ripped up the carpeting throughout and installed a high end laminate that looks like tile. The areas that have vinyl we left, thought about tile, too hard on the feet. When it needs to be replaced, it will be with luxury vinyl.
