Don't look for the editorial page or a readers forum page. That is what I miss when I read the "paper."

The Villages Sun, sugar coated stories. You will not find the information you seek there.
Thevillagesnews.net - mostly negative. Lots of crime, arrests etc. They will report on sinkholes and other occurrences you can't find elsewhere.

I drive by. Multiple ponds that are in the process or have already been taken over by weeds. A lot of the ponds can smell too and change depth when there hasn’t been much rain. When low, ponds looks like $&@$. A lot of the ponds used to get a lot of scum and growth around the edges. When the ponds are full and in good shape, they look great.

Two: I read on another post about a pond that dried up behind some premium water view lots because of a sink hole issue. Do The Villages back their premium lot purchases with some kind of a guarantee?

The reason I ask these is to both stay informed and ease my bearing somewhat. We are getting into our new home very soon and we paid a lot for a small lot to build a home on and it is currently on water.

They’re no news source that don’t have underlining agenda. Individual has to have the common sense to decide what’s juiced up.
