The shoe place by Bargains & Treasures does shoe repair, I've had purses repaired there.

I would like Macy's, Coach, an outlet mall and a REAL bakery that has seven layer cake.

Wild Buffalo Wings greatest sports bar going and fantastic wing selections. A good Korean Restaurant. I will miss them once I make the move to TV.

Another vote for Home Goods. I make it a point to stop at Home Goods, in Ft. Lauderdale, when visiting my son, and always have to think of filing for bankruptcy, when I finish shopping.

Down another $300 on this trip, and don't even want to remember my last trip. My guess is another $500 or more. I asked the saleslady to take my picture, and ban me from Home Goods. she replied, "after you do that for me".

Seriously, they would have a captive audience in TV shoppers, as it's a great store, for upgrading and decorating one's home at reasonable prices, for what you get in quality. IMHO

The chicken wings are delicious and plentiful at Cody's less than a block from the empty TGIF's. Cody's would give them a good run for the money but Wild Buffalo Wings is a good thought.

A Korean restaurant would have a hard time in The Villages. Much of the Korean food depends on lots of hot spices and pepper and to bland it down to so many Villagers preferences would not be tasty. Can you imagine Kim Chee (the fermented and extremely spicy cabbage) being enjoyed by most at The Villages?

A BIG Hobby Lobby like the one in Lakeland. A Joann Superstore with a Viking sewing machine store/repair section. Donatos Pizza.

There is a Home Goods in Clermont - about 45 minutes away. Pretty close to have a second store - but not a bad idea.

Has anyone tried the Sweet Tables Bakery in Wildwood? There was so much forum hype but I have heard nothing recently.

Thanks for the info. I was only aware of the one in Orlando, that is a little over a hour away.

45 minutes, is very doable.

The Home Goods store locator shows no store in Clermont. Closest one is Altamonte Springs, about an hour away.

Default a Womans world size clothing store

Most of the shops and stores around the villages seem to have sold out of size 16 and 18 because they are buying standard size runs which have only one size 16 and 18 for 4 size 12 and 14s and some items stop at size 16, which is not the correct buying for this demographic. I would think a shop with larger sizes that had good style like Jones New York and Liz etc would be good. Maybe heavy in what is called the yatch resort looks. Well tailored coordinates as most of the women I see around here have decent taste and are not the loud polyester big top types. The Macys in Ocala is a C level store so no larger sizes in the better labels most of the store is Macys own brands and even in those the selection in larger sizes was thin. We are taking a trip down to the Millenium Mall to that Macys as it is an A level and hopefully will have a decent Womans world area.
