I think they need to build it a bit higher.
Was walking along The Lake Sumter River Rapids and noticed this thing. Seems like overkill but I am sure there is a reason.

There are a few of us who have gas carts, and don't mind going to the dealer for service.

Where is there a gas station in Brownwood? I can only think of the new Marathon station at Pinellas Plaza.

Not sure it would be a good thing to have an automobile gas station in town....so much traffic and during the high season, it could be, well.....

Annie, where exactly do you think Brownwood is? Brownwood is the newest town square at the southern most point in The Villages. As others have already pointed out...there is NO gas station in Brownwood. If you are talking about the new Marathon station on 466A, that is not in Brownwood.

That "huge building" was built for the specific purpose of providing a full-service service station for golf carts....not just as a gas station for carts. And with 50,000+ golf carts in TV, I'm guessing it will be a well-used addition.

I was told by a sales person at TV golf carts that similar buildings will be in Spanish Springs and Brownwood. All golf cart services now done by pick up and delivery of golf carts will be done at these three locations. Over time even carts not sold by TV carts will be accepted for service. Rolling Acres site will by building carts only.

The Villages Golf Car store in Brownwood started doing annual maintenance service (and perhaps more) in July. I think that their store in Spanish Springs is also doing it, but not sure.

My only concern about the facility beside Barnes and Noble is that it will take up overflow parking spaces, which during high season, are generally filled.
