The Morse siblings posted a new video. The cynic in me is wondering if sales are slowing there? Sure hope not, I think it is not only a great concept, but a benevolent move on the part of The Developer(s).

As an aside, I wonder. how many children total the three siblings have so we can get an idea of how many fingers will be in the pie when the next generation is doing the development. Three siblings working together is manageable. A dozen cousins maybe not so much.

Because the developer puts out a video, which they do multiple times a month, sales are slowing. How about they put out a video to promote their product.

Some of the cousins are involved now, we’ve seen some in videos, the one runs the polo grounds.
Some of the cousins will not be involved in the family bus. I.e. Megan Boone is a Hollywood star.
I don’t worry about any of the cousins will starve during their lifetime.
And I am sure those involved, will do a fine job.

Middleton is really only for families of TV employees with kids who want attend the charter school. I’m not sure why non Village employees would want to live there since their kids couldn’t go to that school.

My son and his family currently live in Middleton. It is a wonderful community and the schools are great. However, their family has decided it is not for them and are currently looking for a home in the Clermont area. Middleton is too far from my son's employment and what the family enjoys as a unit. They feel stranded in the middle of nowhere. The hope that Middleton will become a thriving town is just that, a hope. My son and his family want to enjoy the here and now. Waiting years for development has grown very thin with them. They are looking forward to their move. Maybe sales have slowed because other families feel the same about the location of Middleton.

Where do your grandkids go to school? I would think the only people who would want to live in MIddleton would be Village employees. Clermont is a nice area.

About two years ago or more Middleton was being conceptualized and promoted sales wise as a community that doctors and nurses and professionals serving the medical facility would live in. T V was hoping they would come work in the massive Villages medical education hospital planned near the old area of 470 and the turnpike area... the hospital that DIDN'T happen.

T V or "the cousins" are just pushing the train onward... funny thing how that works. People say who needs the Brownwood theater. Well who needs a hospital? People are sold on dreams. No biggie.

Build and they will come.

Dayghter in law works for the Villages. Grandkids are attending the Charter Schools. My son earns far more than his wife but he has to travel daily to Orlando. The family rarely gets an opportunity to spend time with him. The charter schools are great but not much better than the schools they were attending before they moved to Middleton. Kiddos miss their old friends, wife misses her husband, and my son is exhausted all the time. Wife plans to transfer back to her former employment.

My son and his family moved to Middleton almost a year ago. They originally were planning on moving to Oxford Oaks, a similar established non age restricted community off 301 and 466. They decided on Middleton because of the schools and because it was a brand new community. Fast forward to today, they are extremely disappointed in Middleton. There was a lot of hype when the houses first went on sale. I remember our realtor telling us they may not be able to get in until phase two or three because phase one would sell out the first day. Over a year later, empty houses and empty lots everywhere. The house went from a dirt lot to a finished home in 7 weeks, and it shows in the workmanship. He has had numerous problems with his house and the customer service stinks. They have an excuse for everything. The lots are extremely small for a family community, nothing like Oxford Oaks. They have 5 feet between houses, and a seven foot backyard. The front yards are tiny, their bedroom is almost on the street. Almost a year later, there is no infrastructure and no signs of any coming soon, despite what their videos say. The only business open is Citizens Bank, which just opened. They used inferior sod in many of homes and refuse to do anything about it. The closest grocery store or gas station is on Warm Springs (Magnolia Plaza), 7 miles and 15 minutes away each way. Same for restaurants and fast food, all things that are important, especially to young families. Phase Two has literally dozens of empty overgrown lots that have been empty and unsold since they were released well over a year ago. The dirt from those lots flies around the community and requires them to constantly pressure clean their walls and windows. The community pool is a nice feature, but the pavers they used get so dangerously hot it actually burns my grandson's feet going from the chairs to the pool. The houses are expensive, compared to other developments, especially when you add the bond. Most floor plans are complicated, the most practical ones seem to be the ones they copied from The Villages (the Endzone/Woodside). The only way your child can go to the schools is if one on the parents works for The Villages or works for a business on Villages property. That certainly limits the number of jobs available and the pay. They wish they would have bought elsewhere and like others are considering putting their house for sale at the end of the year and are also considering the Clermont/Mineola area.

Free tuition to a great charter school that is very close by is a great incentive.

The question I have is, do the jobs in TV pay enough to afford a home in Middleton? I have no idea.

Can’t comment on the other items, but the lack of “things” was very obvious. If you spent any time on this forum, we’ve been talking about it for a long time, yet people are buying in that area.

In 5 years, it’s going to be awesome, all the restaurants, stores, etc will be built out. 5 years is a guess on my part, but look at Brownwood in 2019 and look at it now. Yes COVID was in there, but still…..

What people don’t realize is their kids who are 9/10 now, will be 14/15/16 then, almost ready to leave for college, it’s too late.

Everything you stated is why my son and his family are planning to move. Looks like other families are feeling the same. Kiddos are young for a short time. Ours keep saying they feel "stranded in the middle of nowhere."
