Truth, I used to work in New York City. When, approached by a hooker I would say I am looking for a job and have no money. Best comeback was she takes credit cards.

I would beware of any place that does not accept credit cards. When you pay with a credit card you have, if I recall 24 hours to cancel the sale also if there is a problem the credit card company will help you to get it resolved.

I pay 99% of mine online. Even my lawn guy has an account set up to pay online monthly.

I wish everyone accepted ApplePay. This way the merchant doesn't get the actual card number. The number is just randomly generated. Also it creates a digital history reference so you can see exact amounts for stuff you purchased. I wish it actually created a digital receipt like WalmartPay does.

You people that are still wean on writing checks.
Just remember you are responsible until the receiver cashes that check.
If you use credit card, (like some one before mention), your using someone else money.

And don't pay bills through your bank bill pay, go on the website and pay them yourself.
If the bank screws up, it's your fault, not the banks.

Oh, did I mention my son is vice-president of BofA

It depends. For some bills we get on the bank account online and submit the payment via transfer. For some, we write our a check and mail it via the USPS. For others, we use credit card, and for others, we pay cash.

I am not aware of a 24 hour rule to cancel a credit card charge. But, if you use a credit card, you have 60 days from the statement date to dispute a charge if the merchant has failed to perform. That is a Federal law, and the bank must remove the disputed charge and investigate the issue and render a fair decision about whether the charge should be added back to your account.

I write a check out for church weekly...our lawn guy doesn't take a credit card, so he gets a check once a month and I write out a check to pay our real estate taxes, beyond that everything hits a credit card that gives me 2% back. At the grocery I use a different credit card that gives me 6%. I do allow the water bill to be taken out of the checking account, (but no one else) only because they wouldn't take a credit card at the time

then I pay everything with bill payer

all part of trying make things simpler
What card pays 6%? I only get 2%.
