Does Anyone Have Tile that looks like wood?
My husband and I are going round and round about what to replace our carpet with. We have a smaller ranch and would like everything to blend in well. We were curious about the new tile that looks like wood. Does anyone have it? Are you happy with it?

Yes, We have Italian Porcelain Tile in our beach condo that everyone thinks is wood. It washes easy and does not scratch. Regretful I did not put it in my Villages house. It looks great

They have tile that looks like wood in the Arnold Palmer restaurant area - I think it is in the back patio area or on a walkway. I always thought it looked nice and considered it for our house but decided I didn't want to deal with cleaning grout so we went with laminate.

Also in new TooJays. Really looks nice. We, too, considered it but decided on wood because it's "softer" and doesn't have the "echo" effect of tile. Great for certain applications.

We don't have the tile that looks like wood in TV because we bought a house that just had "regular" tile and it's way too early to replace. However, when we remodeled our cocoa Beach Condo that is what we used. It's an Italian Porcelain tile in planks and everybody that comes to visit says they love our hardwood floors. It makes sense because of the high humidity on the coast and in The villages.
There is hardly a grout line and very easy to clean. You can't go wrong with it.

We had the diing room, my office and master bedrom done in the pocelin, scrapped wood look.
Relaced carpeting. I cannot say enough good about the decision....wish we would have done it a long time ago. Much easier to keep clean and clean looking. |

The Design Team didn't offer it when we built our home in 2012. If I remember right the Design Team meeting was in February and we closed in May. I would have gotten it if it was available then.

We had some laid in the kitchen, laundry room, entrance foyer and baths last year and absolutely love it. You are more than welcome to stop over and take a look. Just send me a PM. We had Village Flooring on 441 do the job. It is a Mohawk Porcelain Tile. I selected the same tile at another store close to TV's originally and they wanted over $1,000 more to lay the exact same as Village Flooring.

Had all 3 bedrooms and closets done in Wood look porcelain tile love it. Wish the hole house had it to be honest. But removing the large diagonal placed tile would be way to costly.Easy cleanup and will NOT wear out.

If you have them install it in herringbone pattern, you will be the envy of the neighborhood!

I put plank style tile in my mud room with 1/16 grout lines, I went with a dark color grout, looks great and it is easy to keep clean.
I had David Chilcote do a backsplash, 3 floors, and 2 complete showers (mud base & walls) for me in the Villages last summer. My neighbor hired David do their backsplash after they seen his work at my place. He is reasonably priced and does terrific work. David's number is 352-536-7451 |

We have it in almost the entire house except kitchen area--we just love it and it looks just like wood.. We also had it in our large home in California before moving to the Villages--Reedy Flooring in Leesburg did the work and we were most pleased with their pricing and work
