You all mention Bob Evans, Perkins and IHop as your choices which all are chain restaurants. I too love chain restaurants and wish we had more here. I like to know what I am getting and that it will taste like it did last time I got it. I just can't get into all of these independently owned restaurants. Too much variation. I'll take a chain any day. I love Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn, Carrabas, Chilis, Applebees, Outback, Bonefish. Would love to see a P.F. Changs or a Cheesecake Factory and Abuelo's mexican here. For breakfast any of the three you mentioned have great breakfast.

A much needed dog park would have been well used in that space.

I just heard from retired person who knew a person who at one time worked as a starter. It's going to be a Macy's

Today's paper has a PDQ restaurant being built between McDonald's and Tire Choice in Colony Plaza. Checking online their menu is rather limited for my taste with chicken and turkey offerings but I suspect it will be popular with many residents.

Two thoughts: 1. OP says "barnyard style fence." I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds like a fence with vertical slats. Construction contractors don't use this around a construction site. I'm guessing that a display of something (golf carts, recreation vehicles, etc.) will be set up for a limited time. 2. OP says "between McDonald's and Walgreen's." According to the Daily Sun, PDQ won't be there, but will be between McDonald's and Tire Choice. |

Any restaurant is a welcome sight for residents in the south of TV. Personally, I was hoping for a Bob Evans or Perkins. PDQ---does that stand for "pretty Damn Quick"?

PDQ isn't bad but it is just another fried chicken place. Their calling card is the scores of sauces offered. Gino Torretta and Tim Tebow are big investors.

I think TV put the fencing up around the lot between the entranceway and McDonalds to keep landscape trucks and others from parking there. Many, many trucks stop at McDonalds at lunch time and park in the empty lot that will now house PDQ. If the fence wasn't there, I'm sure they would have parked on that empty lot. Guess they'll have to park in the parking lot across the street now. Less spaces for those of us who shop at Publics

It's not knowing what's going on there that is hard. Leads to all kinds of speculation. Would be nice to know eh?

When my wife & I noticed the fencing on Thursday both of us said "what are they trying to keep out"? And I agree that with the announcement of the future restaurant east of McDonalds they are likely trying to keep the noon McDonalds rush off the field. |
