Never used to see that before.
Probably caused by poor and/or worsening eyesight and not manners.

About 15% of retirees in any community are mentally ill and rabbid...They are not the majority. Do not let them bother you for even one second and don't project their sociopathy on others. Most people in TV are wonderful.

Not condone no your critics actions but maybe you should evaluate your driving habits or abilities.

you're correct again. just the other day i read on a news site about a driver being pulled over for traveling too slow. the K-9 officer 'hit' on his car & they found a bunch of drugs. idk if the person traveling slowly was under the influence or not, but it was that reason he was pulled over

Dimaxim- you know I knew someone that was from a state up north & from his same state he told me he had people there that would bump into him & just about spin him around in circles & he said they would never say excuse me or say I’m sorry. He said he never went back there in his life. So to make this story short, it must be they way they were raised or they thought you should look out for them. There’s a lot of A-Holes that live in TV that really think they live in there home town. I know what you’re saying, I’ve seen rude people there & where we live now. Maybe one of these days they’ll pop off to a bad A$$ Navy Seal or some Green Beret & maybe they’ll give them an attitude adjustment! Don’t lose any sleep over it. Once an A- Hole always an A-Hole.

What that means basically is that when we're young(er) for the most part we have the ability to present the face that we WANT to present, to the world. Someone may feel seething anger inside over some real or imagined word or deed by another, but mostly we grit our teeth, give that person a cold smile and wisely remove ourselves from the situation. However as age starts wearing on us so too do our coping skills start to diminish as well as emotional control, often exacerbated by things like family or money issues, alcohol, chronic disease, beginning dementia, etc. We can no longer hide the person we've carefully kept hidden all those decades. He (or she) gradually starts peeking out, more and more often, and quite often incidents like the one in the OP happen.

I'm not saying this was the case in the incident described in the OP. But we're a town of 150,000 (give or take) geezers. So yes. In such a concentration incidents like this WILL happen. Best thing to do is precisely what the person being verbally attacked did. Leave. Don't escalate.
Agree...my 72 yr old borther...asked me the other day my age (you men forget stuff like that) I said 70.....he said oh so you're a geezer too.

As a former dialysis nurse I reminded myself how crummy the dialysis pts feel...and along with other comorbidities they can be ill. Try to keep in mind, may not feel good, already having a bad day....just go on and don't let it make your day bad.

There are too many people NOT using their turn signal lights. Or putting them on last minute. That is where the problem comes in. Please be more mindful of it and you just might eliminate the screaming and cussing. Not using them is very rude and causes frustration and accidents.

Its tough living among the 'Old People', especially when they're 'grumpy'.

You admit that someone was behind you but you clearly decided NOT to use your turn signals. This is a safety issue and an annoyance for those behind you. The turn signals are on your cart and car for a reason. You are not entitled!

To be accurate...The number one cause of accidents is people passing on the right.
Fast and slow drivers coexist just fine on the German Autobahn.

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago about how after returning to TV in mid-October, I was taken aback by how friendly and courteous shoppers were at the Walmart by Colony. I was in a grumpy mood myself, having just spent a few days on the road getting here from New York, and it was a joyful reminder that I had returned to a place where people are really FRIENDLY.
I realized that part of my surprise was due to the fact that since I'd left TV in May, my only interface with it had been TOTV. There are a lot of unfriendly responses on TOTV.
As Ben Crenshaw's mom used to say to him, growing up, "Be sweet."

Been here for a year now, and have seen these types of situations from time to time. Some of the posts here can be a bit snarky too. But all in all, compared to where we came from, my wife and I find the people here to be incredibly positive and kind!
