I always use my signals, but, I have noticed that sometime my signal seems to be the very thing that triggers the person following to hit the gas to try and cut me off. Funny, that.

I just found one site that said "speeding" was number one, another said "distracted driving". People need to drive safely and well within the limits of their abilities and comfort zone and quit hitching about the other drivers. An angry driver is not at their best.

I know I will be in the minority but how about the person that is going slower or holding others up and refuses to show any courtesy and either pull over or slow down and put on directionals on straight-aways and let those behind them pass?

In my golf cart on Friday on the cart path behind Laurel Manor - going to turn left into Winifred (admit I didn't put my turn signal on ). Nobody on the road except for the guy behind me. Apparently I didn't cross fast enough for the man behind me who proceeded yet again to yell at me. For me, I will just hope for the future to be better and forgive the obviously grumpy old men who felt compelled to be rude.

Maybe we need more Chicago people here, and fewer LoneGuyLanders. Chicago people are very courteous when behind the wheel. They know that admonishing the transgressor is a spiritual work of mercy, and if someone gets seriously out of line, they tend to get seriously spiritual.

I had visions of this and it was killing me with laughter. My daughter won’t go to Chicago because of her last experience of blood on the walls at her hotel - but as far as driving goes, Chicago has excellent rep:
