Were visiting with our two sons in Swedesboro, NJ. We are also waiting for the storm. They keep changing the forecast. Not sure how much, anywhere from 0 to 20 inches. The weather service with all their up to date computers will tell us the amount after the storm is over. We fly home to TV on Friday. It will be great getting home from the frozen tundra, but great seeing our two boys and their three daughters.

Default Temps In TV 70's By Thursday - Life Is Good

I've managed to squeeze onto the couch with our dog Teddy next to me on his back, not a pretty sight, and his LR paw sticking in my side. Have checked all my fishing sites and am waiting for ugly e-mails from friends after I'd sent them pics from yesterdays catch and the temp shown at 68 deg. Yep Christmas Day in TV was awesome.

At home in Lakeport, CA. Drove home last night from Christmas Dinner at my wife's sister's ranch near Winters, CA. 2 1/2 hour drive in dark, intermittent rain and the last hour and a half thru the mountains. Could have stayed at my wife's mother's house for the second night in a row but decided our 3 cats needed some company.

There were about 20 adult relatives and 6 great nephews and nieces ages 7 to 1. Adults all brought one $20 gift each for the annual white elephant gift exchange where all the gifts are put on a table and numbers are drawn to determine order that the gifts are taken. Gift can be taken from the table or can be stolen from an already opened gift that someone has. Only two steals allowed for any one gift. I was #4 to pick and got a pair of women's vibrating slippers that I was stuck with because nobody wanted to steal them; my wife was #14 and she made the second and final steal of a set of screw drivers, wrenches and flashlights from our nephews wife. She wanted to take the $20 Lowe's gift card from our niece's hubby but she couldn't keep it quiet and he told our niece to do the second steal of it from him before my wife had her turn.

Then came gifts for the kids and the boxes and paper started flying; each kid got about ten presents from their aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas.

Sitting on my son's couch in Bethlehem, Pa, looking forward to traveling to Caroline village later this week. Since he is out in Pittsburgh with his in-laws, looks like I will be doing the shoveling around here later today and tomorrow. Just sold my home up here in August and thought I would never have to shovel again.

However, I did get to spend Christmas with my other two children and my first granddaughter (and her first Christmas). Like is truly good.

Sitting at home in northern New Jersey watching the start of the blizzard they are calling for. Wishing we were in our home in St. Charles.

Watching the snow fall on Park Slope, always pretty.

We'll be at home in TV on Tuesday.

I'm sitting on my cozy lanai in TV with Duffy snuggled in my lap. I'm reading the Sunday papers and watching the birds fighting for room on the feeder. The Camelias are blooming and looking cheerful despite the cold weather. We're trying to decide which movie to see, True Grit or The King's Speech. No comlaints, life is good.

Sitting here in Clinton CT ... no plans for next 2 days awaiting the storm ...just football and getting out & seeing the grandkids!!!

Hey Wayne,

When you're done, swing down here with the snowblower...I may need it.

Sounds like the storm will be a nor'easter which dumps more snow on the shoreline..... last year's December storm left 2 FEET!!!

Pictures to follow later today....us to follow ... leaving Wed.

Best Wishes to all...and stay warm.

At my sons condo in Hong Kong playing with the grandkids and reading about the storms on the East Coast. Hope we can dig our car out at Dulles upon our return and before our planned move to TV next fall. We think about our CYV and TV every day and the current blizzard confirms the wisdom of our decision. Keep them posts comming ,we love to read them.

Home here in TV having just returned from a 4 mile walk, a brisk walk I might add. Two different couples stopped their cars to ask if I needed s ride, they were a little surprised when I said I was walking outside on purpose, gave me funny looks and then drove off. I'm in for the day now tho, will catch up onm some reading and watch football. Relatives are all waiting patiently in Massachusetts for the snow, glad I'm not there to help shovel !
