Question Up Hill Battle

Your fighting an up hill battle. There are probably somewhere near 15-20% who are intelligence challenged and suffer as the bottom feeder when it comes to understanding the more serious needs and questions of life. Because they have this problem their only way of compensating for it is by mocking, and struggling to say just something to gain attention. Feel sorry for those who have to live with them and put up with their immature ways and conversation. Because of their lack of knowledge and ability to participate in meaningful issues I actually feel sorry for them at times.

During the development stage if I were the developer I would ask myself, who would benefit the most by keeping the fence tidy, the golf coarse owner or the community, and then make that party responsible for the fence. I don't see any benefit to the golf owner (who could be anyone in the future} to have attractive looking fences.

By sneaking the taxes in, they just raised golf fees by 7%. If you haven't noticed, they've done the same thing to movie and show tickets at Savannah and the Sharon. You will start seeing surcharges added to these shows in the future.

The fencing is owned either by a CDD or by the champion ship golf course, whichever section is owned by one of them is cared for by the same. In the case of the fencing being worked in CDD7 along Morse Blvd and by Colony, this is CDD7 property and is covered under part of the Project Wide Agreement. This fencing replacement is a part of the Capital Improving Plan that has been in place for many years. In previous years the same work has been done in areas farther north on Buena Vista and Morse Blvds.

The Project Wide Agreement pays for this and a great many other items of common benefit to the residents as well as sharing risk for many of the common areas, by sharing the cost year over year, the Maintenance Assessment budget is maintained at a much more constant level. This year CDD7 is benefiting, next year it will be other districts will benefit.

The Developer, who owns the championship courses, pays for the upkeep of the fencing on the sections that they own, where exactly they derive the funds from is a part of their business model and their operating costs for their properties, it is not passed on to the CDDs, getting to the bottom line it would be those who patronize championship courses who pay these costs, as are all the costs any business incurres in its operation.

This topic was discussed during this morning's PWAC meeting in detail. The attendance was as is usual, poor, 4 residents and 4 CDD supervisors who were not members of PWAC, the rest of the room was District Staff members and PWAC members. This was one of the most important meeting for PWAC this year, approved for submission to SLCDD was the Project Wide and Amenity Division Budget for everything south of CR466, and yet so little interest. Where was the OP this morning? Was this genuine interest or concern, or just rabble-rousing?

Question Tax Bill

If you look at the preliminary tax bill you received you will see a line item of Maintenance and in the $500-1000 range. That is the maintenance expense you pay for things like Project Wide. it has no ceiling in increases from year to year while the Amenity Fees has
a 3% limit year to year. I would not swear to these numbers but they are as I recalled them a few years ago?

SO right! Jeez, I read the OP post and thought...hmm> where are these fences? Then read many of the following posts and thought - MY GOD, the usual SNARKY folks are out in force. So belittling and rude. Do you converse with people face<>face like that? And the usual onyl-emoji responses, a waste. This is the main reason why over the past 6 months or so I have frequented ToTV less often. The usual suspects and snarks behind their safety keyboard.. boring. And Goldwingnut comes to the rescue with INFORMATION - as always, thanks.

Admittedly, I haven’t looked very hard but where can I find the upcoming meeting calendar and the minutes from past meetings? Sorry if it’s a dumb question with an overly simple answer.

Go to the Village Community Development Districts website and you will find the meeting schedule, agendas, and minutes for the meetings for PWAC, each CDD, and the other governmental bodies of The Villages.
