Who's Crying Now
Me.
Now I have to go back and resize all my photos from my meet & greets. I have at least one witness-- Villages07-- that I posted the first six of them here. They came out HUGE. TH or Tony (?) was nice enough to delete them for me at my request because they were ridiculously huge. There's not a font size available to demonstrate how huge they were. Suffice to say that when V07 saw them, she said it was a good thing I didn't have brocolli in my teeth! Back to the photos: The first time I tried to post them, I used the info in the FAQ. That didn't work, and Tony said those instructions were bogus. Next, I used TH's nice 2-part instructions in this General Discussion Forum. I could have sworn he said to size the photos 640 x 480. However, he couldn't possibly have said that because that's what I sized them and they were huge! So I went back to read TH's instructions and it won't let me in! It says I have to login and when I login as Pturner with my password it tells me that is not my user name. To hell it ain't! So now, I have to go back and manually resize every dang photo. But I don't know what size to make them because I can't get back into the instructions. Can someone tell me, please? Plus, after I resize them, I have to copy and paste that silly code on each and every one because you can't just use the cute little "insert image" button. I have a 2-day golf tournament Wed. and Thurs. -- wish me luck-- so I don't think I'm gonna have time to figure all this out until Friday. But I WILL conquor this and post those pictures. I promise. Now, I thought of a good comeback to V07 to her broccoli comment. Dear V07, Oiy, I coulda had a V8 -- But Drinking Something Stronger Pturner |

Pt,
I sure can commiserate. Every single time I have tried to post a picture, it ends up looking like a billboard. I must say that you are a better woman than I am for not giving up. My learning curve is such that if I do not get it the first time, to heck with it. I know that is bad of me. I have managed to post about 3 pictures in all this time on TOTV. It is such a pain that I grow weary of it and move on. I know I should be more studious about all this picture stuff, but I'm just not. And the few times I have ever managed to send pictures anywhere, it is almost always a disaster. I have sent them in pieces. A nose. An eye. A few teeth. I prefer to think it looks like a Picasso. And once, on email to some friends, I was trying to send 2 or 3 pictures of our kitchen remodel, but instead I sent them every single picture in the file. They must have thought I really liked my kitchen because they got about 25 pictures of it. So good luck, Pt. I sure can't help you. But I admire your perseverance. Boomer. Try this
Let's go through this step by step.
We will assume that you uploaded your pictures to Photobucket. 1. Move the cursor to a picture and click the Edit selection from the little line just atop the picture. ---------------------------------- 2. In the picture Edit window, click Resize. ---------------------------------- 3. Look at the New Size area. ---------------------------------- 4. Unfold the Preset Sizes by clicking on the arrows and pick a size. or ---------------------------------- 5. At the bottom of the Edit window (you may have to scroll down your screen) Click either Save a copyTo keep my bookkeeping straight, I generally click Replace. ---------------------------------- 6. Look to the left and click on the View album. ---------------------------------- You will be taken back to the album where you can work on another picture, or move on to get the proper link to paste into the forum post. Hurry. I am dying to see these pictures. |

Tony,
Are you really trying to tell me that if I had made those pictures 639 x 426 instead of 640 x 480 (like TH's directions said) that they would not have been HUGE!? You're not just trying to get me resize all 20 pictures by a few pixels so you can make me feel stupid again when they come out HUGE instead of HUGE are you? That would be so mean! BTW, nobody asked me how I did in my tournament today. My partner and I didn't play to well today, but we sure looked cute in our outfits. I'll post pictures. No wait... |

Okay neighbor - Sorry you did not do good in the tournament today. Better luck tomorrow.
I am waiting to see the pictures. Hope they are not HUGE. I only have a 21" screen.

In the pictures with or without broccoli, she looks YOUNG!!
I am telling you. I so like this sassy P.Turner. I can't wait until I can gather P, Boomer and BK together in a room and introduce a topic. They are three very smart girls with a LOT of personality.
Isn't this place fun??? P.S. She (P) looks young because she is barely out of diapers. But she says she will be friends with old me. |

Okay Tony - is there a place on TOTV that gives us all of the information on how to upload a jpg to a TOTV forum?
Maybe it should be in Nuts and Bolts or someplace that we would instinctively go to. I am still looking for it. Thanks in advance. Z

Dear Mr. Tony, Mr. Admin, Sir:
Those new directions look pretty good, although I have not tried to follow them yet. And z is right. They need to be someplace on here where they can easily be found. Therefore, Mr. Tony, will you please dust off the proper shelf, assign an appropriate subject heading, and perhaps even a Dewey Decimal System number so we can find this stuff when we need it. Thank you. Marian Boomer Last edited by Boomer; 04-21-2010 at 09:39 PM. |

I put the resizing info in the New forum down at the bottom of the index of forums here.
I'll have to work on the jpg upload, but, hey, KathieI can do it. More later. It's late. We have a shelf already, Ms. Boomer, in the News forum. It probably has to be better organized. I'm rolling around a couple idea on the Dewey system. |

Meet and Greet Photos AT LAST
Oh, please, please don't let these be HUGE. (See I said it small so I wouldn't jinx it.) This is the first batch if it works. Cross your fingers. Here goes.
Pat, Cindy, Kathie, Blondie, Deb Linda Lou, DickY (he swore he was just "one of the girls"), Pat, Nancy, Cindi Barb, Betty, JoJo, Pat, Sue S., Julie Kathie, Blondie, Deb, Helene, Gail, Cindi Sue Linda Lou & DickY Ok, I'm hitting send now. I mean "Submit Reply". I would try to preview, but the first time I tried to post these photos (when they came out HUGE, everytime I hit preview I lost the whole post and had to paste those IMGs again. and we all know how that came out. hint: HUGE.) So please let this work so I won't l look foolish. If it works, more on on the way... I'm scared. Ok, here goes... |

Tony, thanks much for your help. I see I messed up on one of them. I must have hit the wrong resize button. (It's still only half as HUGE as it was the first time though .)
The rest of the photos (separate threads) came out just right! |
