How about a section or village of just homes with "rv ports" where the enclosed rv garage is attached to the home.

Even visiting RV's I have seen here are really high class. Kudos to the original poster for having an open mind! Of course I doubt it will ever happen.
How is this determined?

Tax these lots the same as other dwellings in TV? why not?

Do they pay the same no matter whether they are present or not?

And where oh where would they put the golf cart?

I learned a long time ago there are no bad ideas. Just ideas that won't work for whatever reason.

This one just does not.

THere is something like what is suggested at the corner of 466 and Rolling Acres Road......
I agree..............a bad idea that won't work.

TV started out as a trailer park. IMHO, it has taken several large steps upward from that. Who's willing to have an RV park next to his/her village. NOT ME !! If I was willing to settle for a a campground, I could have saved a small fortune on my home.

The highlighted text is a kindly thought...but...although the villages is composed of many neighborhoods - I believe that we are one community...and, thus, we each/all benefit or do not benefit from what is developed here - RV village or anything else...so I think each/all of our opinions hold value to this discussion.

Hah - apparently some of you folks have never seen an RV community with casitas and garages that run $250K plus. Most of these folks have $600k plus motor homes parked at these spots.

As far as discrimination our experience was rv parks can determine what type of RV they will allow and can also deny entry based on the age of the RV. So it can be worked out, but doubt the developer has any inclination to do this.

On a lighter note - when we were living full time in our motor home a dear friend use
to refer to us as PWTTWM. Poor white trailer trash with money! How we got a kick out of that.

Thanks for you input, all I have ever asked is that people be more open minded. So glad I live around a lot of people who are. But that's what the world is all about, different strokes for different folks it's what makes the world go round, I will however always forge forward with an open mind and heart.

The original idea was a separate village NO ONES backyard. And if there were room I wouldn't mind at all. As I am sure TV's would do it as tastefully as they have done anything else.

There is a perfectly fine...very large RV park as close to the villages as you can get...Its at 466 and Rolling Acres. I believe it has over 1,000 sites. When folks have friends who visit and want to stay in their RV....this is a perfect place.

If they simply want to store the RV...it can be stored at the storage facility on 466 just past Wal-Mart. .....cant get much closer than these two places.

If I had the energy I would look up each person that said "not in my backyard" to see if they posted on the site about racism and how they can't believe anyone is the small minded. Just sayin.

I agree with you. I think we should also have space allotted for low income housing. Right now there are many areas close to the Villages that have affordable units, but I think we should be open minded and consider having better income variation within the the Villages itself.
