I actually like living south of 44.
Everything is new. Rec centers are beautiful. We are closing in on our first year and I’m looking at houses all of the time. We bought what was going to be a small vacation home. After having people visit we feel that the house is too small. Also, we like it here and we plan on being here more than we thought we would.

Down south of 44 , there isn't a lot of shopping, though non food shopping is overrated. . .
I am still wearing clothes which are >10 years old, there is no need to fill the house with junk
so what's with all the shopping needs, seriously?

Home depot or Lowes is not big deal since we don't go there to shop, only when we need to fix something.

I did a lifestyle preview visit a few weeks ago and got the February 19th newspaper. There were 12 pre-owned homes listed on the front page of the classified section. As of today, 2 are in escrow. Of the remaining 10, 5 have lowered their prices since February 19th...Granted, it's a small sample, but it does suggest the market for sellers has softened a bit...
