There ARE designated smoking areas at EVERY square.

Because Harley's sound great.

Love the smell of cigar smoke, brings back childhood memories.

From a none-smoker
If you are correct that 98% of the villagers don't smoke, it would seem to me especially since you claim to have been sitting in your golf cart to move to a spot where the smell would not have affected you.
I just bought an EV and if I follow your train of thought I would be posting that I do not like the smell of gas fumes and the people should be banned from driving gas cars.
Life is short especially here in The Villages give us all a break and wear a gas mask the next time you want to listen to music or stay at home and turn on the radio.

Thank you, never looked for one before. Perhaps fans could direct smoke away from the other people? I smoked a long long time ago, I still like the smell of smoke but my lungs don’t.

I thought the squares were a smoke free area

It never ceases to amaze me that the older people get in the Villages, the more grumpy they seem to become. Having the money to retire here, enjoy the beauty that is The Villages, participate in more social activities than anywhere else and still ...... the petty non tolerant griping surprises me. Let's try to be grateful for each day and allow others to be "different". Move your cart, walk away, smile; they may have a habit they can't conquer. Please don't act like you are better than, more evolved than, smarter than, and more entitled than.,.,,,,,,,or sit behind your computer and troll for arguments.

So educated that they sit in the smoking area and complain about smoking.

They are. Smoking is allowed only on the sidewalks that surround the squares.

Yes; the designated smoking area for the Squares are: everywhere EXCEPT within the entertainment area, where the Entertainment crew puts out chairs, or where there are bleachers, the "dance floor" area, and in line at the tiki huts. Everywhere else "outside" is a "designated smoking area."

In reality, there is only a limited designated NON-smoking area. Everywhere else you're allowed to smoke.

Default Smoking in squares

Minorities have rights also.
Nothing wrong with smoking a cigar. I enjoy them.
Cigar smokers also have rights.
Let me know when you are going to Brownwood again.

Now that we got this smoking thing out of the way;
How about kicking those running-around little brats off the dance floor?
Grandma, control your kids; you might love them, but we don't!
.
This is all a joke; don't get excited, Grandma...
