if we are near build out? They've added the Santa Rosa, Putnam, Citrus, Highlands and Palm Beach models recently.

I laugh at the phrase built out. Sales lead and that has been around for quite a few build outs. This is no longer a quiet retirement community. More like a major city in size.

I saw the new floor plans and wondered the same thing. They don't appear to be the same model with a different name!

I must admit the floor plans drive me a little crazy. I love the Iris (designer) and had one built in 2012. My home is beautiful but, sometimes I think it might be too big for me when its just me living there.

When I got my puupy, I started looking online at Courtyard Villas. The idea was maybe a little smaller home, a yard big enough for a pool, inside laundry and a two car garage! There are only two Courtyard floor plans with inside laundry -- the Arlington and the Charlotte. I'm not crazy about the master bedroom in the Charltotte and not crazy about the master bath or master closet (too small) in the Arlington! I like the Wyndham but it doesn't have an inside laundry!

I've decided to keep my Iris until that time comes!!

What's a build out???? Maybe it's a build out of the FIRST 40 sq. miles, then starts the next 40......

I believe it's called marketing.

I believe you are spot on. My observation is that the cottages are in demand and sell quickly so why wouldn't you offer more models? There is no evidence that the Developer will expand past State Route 44 and there is No evidence that the Developer will NOT either. Rumors are just that---rumors.

The historic section is being slowly replaced by cottages. Im sure this process will increase in speed. More choices for more individuality.

The seabreaze in the historic district is smaller than south. Might be easier to just rename

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. an article appearing in the Orlando Sentinel made mention of a number of golf courses with residential homes on them have failed and they are now building condos on these golf courses.

For whatever reason(s) The Villages seems to be vibrant and doing well and expanding. Its a curse and a blessing but that's the way life rolls

It's no different than any other business--if you provide a quality product with quality service, a reasonable selection and reasonable price points, you will do well.
