If five or six of the neighbors got together one night and shot the five pigs. Then collectively decided to clam up to all authorities.... um sort of like chopping down $50,000 worth of trees.

Ending to this original post...a trapper came, killed 4 of the 5. One got away. My husband and I had hoped the "trapper" would "trap" them and relocate them, rather than killing them! However, the person who called the trapper requested they be killed.
So...unless the 5th one was later "trapped" or killed, he is still running around.
