Default Winter Rental?

We are thinking about renting our home for one month this winter. Is there any place we can get information about the best way to go about this? Things like what to charge for deposits, find interested parties, recommended rents, etc. Thanks.

Default check out rental sites in detail

thevillages4rent.com, ****.com, vacationrentals.com etc. search for rentals in TV and try to compare apples to apples. You can get an idea or rents/deposits.

However, if you are living full-time in your home, it would be awfully hard to clear out stuff for just one month, although I suppose it could be done. If you store everything (clothes and stuff from closets, dresser drawers, bathroom stuff, etc.) in a 3rd bedroom, be sure this is disclosed and that the tenants know the 3rd bedroom is not usable. Plus all jewelry, personal papers, etc.

Remember also that you would need to clear out your pantry and fridge/freezer. Or alternatively, could clear out a cabinet for the tenant and disclose that your pantry is not available.

Because it can be hard to find a rental for Feb. or March, you might be able to rent it even not totally cleared out.
