Almost as much fun as the first parade, Sep 2005.

Took me 1 hour 35 minutes from my house to my place in line. Usually about 26 minutes.

2 hours 50 minutes waiting in my place in line until I actually began to move.

One hour almost exactly to travel the 2.2 miles.

A long and tiring day, BUT a typically fun day with many, many friendly encounters.

Congratulations to residents of Largo! It looked to me as though your entire village came, judging by the carts I passed with Largo signs on their windshields!

Many logistical issues, but another "successful" Villages event!

Anyone can see that Christine Snow is just one of Lauren Ritchie's pen names.

Look at these quotes from the article:

"carts zipped through the community"

"set the bar"

"destroy the record"

And we're supporting the warriors? For shame.

(Oh, by the way, I was there.)

We signed up, paid, participated and have the Tshirts to prove it. It was a long day but well worth it.

We participated and had fun and met some new friends (who rented a golf cart).

Wish I had known! Since we're not there, we'd have loaned your ours so you could participate.

Default Long Day - But Worth It

Three hours from Hadley (Gracie, what do you mean, you forgot) to parade staging area; two hours until we entered parade start; one hour through parade route and we were done. Tried to calculate how many carts were there, but gave up. Should be a new record. Hope so. If you go next time, plan to be there almost all day. They need better logistics.

Awwww...thanks PT! Between the time we signed up and today, we ordered a new cart and sold our original...poor planning on our part . It's been three days without a cart...I'm having cart withdrawal!

(I always wanted to use a grumpy smilie!)
