The car that blocked you in committed a Violation of FSS 316.155. Your car was properly parked in a handicap space with painted lines and a required sign. You should have called the police. An officer/deputy or a civilian traffic enforcement aide could issue the citation. It's a violation regardless if is public or private property. It would be the officers discretion on towing the car.
The officer must actually see the violation, not just a photo.

As I am in a wheelchair, this kind of stuff makes me furious. Stay out of areas meant for disabled and off the areas needed to get out of van.

Another annoyance....women who use handicapped stalls as dressing rooms. A curse on you!🧟*♀️🧟🧟*♂️🧙🏻

Why were you parked in a handicap spot? Just having a93 yr old passenger does not allow you to take a handicap parking spot.

Maybe the OP has a handicap placard.

Illegal or inconsiderate parking has been documents on VNews. Outcome 0 it continues whether it be a car, truck, or golf cart. Villagers seem to think they are privileged by a significant minority.

Lo we start inspecting for the door dings and damages if they park to close. I parked a classic vette in a parking lot at least 100 ft from another vehicle. With a almost empty parking lot I went back to my classic and Lo n behold a scrap yard car parked inches away. Not one other vehicle within 100 feet. Maybe I need rat rods!
Classic Corvettes get to park in Fire Lane.

Hope you called the Cops to have them tagged ticketed and towed.

There is no excuse for ignorance.

Sooooo then the handicapped Chevy driver did the best he could squeezing into the spot that should have been available? If this is the case, he/she did a pretty good job.... Just sayin'
Sounds like you may have been a chevy driver in the past. Just sayin'

Boy, that's some scenario and a lot of ifs. I am sure he had a handicapped sticker, but even if he didn't, the jerk on the left had no right parking where he did in a no parking zone. He did not do his best to park in a no parking zone whether he was handicapped or not, and he did a lousy job of pinning in someone.

This happened to somebody I know when she was in SS with her adopted children. One of which is in a wheelchair. She happens to be an employee here at one of the restaurants. She immediately called the police and the police ordered a tow truck to tow the offending car to impound. That is what should have happened in this situation.
