Welcome to the 'hood....
I think I know the house that you are talking about. They were starting on that house last week when we were there. That isn't our house but we will be right near there.

Niels, CONGRATS on your retirement and new home! Nice that you found a buyer for your home. That was an easy sell, eh?

Default Escapr from NY

good work -you retired and went right to TV nice going. I tell friends that when you retire hit the ground running and make the most of it. I languished in Middletown, NY after i retireing for about 11 years. Could have been in TV sooner. I'am similar to your situation son might take over my house and the fixed expences and we will see from there. I bought the lot on 8/5/09 in the village of St. Charles .I am trying to sell my condo in Stuart Fl. Taking to long. Price increase in TV motivated me to cash in a 401K account and do it. Close on 1/4/10 financing is in place. My fiancial adviser says you sure you want to do this. I'am 67 how much more time is left especially quality time. If the 401K is for retirement why not use for that. And you cant call putting money from one market and placing into another market spending anyway. If you want to do something and you are able to do it well get it done.

Yes, actually things appear to be moving much faster than I anticipated. I figured it would be at least a year and maybe two years before I could move to TV but things appear to be falling into place much sooner. I also think this is a good time to buy in TV.

Good luck with your new home in the Village of St. Charles.

Default Yippeeeeeee!

Hi Neils,
I am so excited for you! Retirement! Selling your house to your son!! TV!!!! All in one fell swoop

We just closed last month on a beautiful home in Springdale, so the excitement is still so fresh. We're two years from retirement and can only visit for now. Oh, but to know what we have to look forward to...

Anyway, I wish you all the very best. Congratuations.

Talking Congratulations Neils!!!

That is great news!! I am so very happy for you and Mrs. Neils! I'm sorry we missed you while you were down, but I am sure you were very busy looking at homes and furniture. But that is a "fun kind of busy".
Thats great that your son is buying your home, that will be a huge load off your shoulders, no realtors, showings, inspections etc.
Looking foward to seeing you in January!

Niels,

Looks like they are building in every open lot on the street. When you arrive there may be no more construction!

If you would like us to check up the the house, please PM me and let me know the address.
