Default Villages schools

Does anyone know what will happen with the existing Villages Schools when the new ones south of 44 are opened?

Yes, there will be a north and south campus. There are more students applying than slot available at the Villages Charter School.

The existing K-8 on 466 will expand into the existing high school buildings. The high school will move to the new, larger high school campus. In other words, there will be two K-8 campuses and one new high school campus.

There will be 2 campuses, correct, the high school will move to the new campus, correct, the fate of the current high school, has yet to be determined but several options are still being discussed. No I will not state my sources, they do have firsthand knowledge of the issue.
I had the same thoughts about increasing the K8 capacity but was told that is currently not the first consideration.

Whatever the outcome, the current and under construction schools have been and are being built at no cost to Sumter County. One could even say that they are built in spite of Sumter County based on their origins, a lack of quality schools in the area made it difficult for the developer to bring quality people to The Villages and it's the many business (retail, commercial, industrial, etc.) needed to support the growing population. The developer took it upon themselves to build a Charter school system that is and has been, one of the best in the state.

If you've never been to any of the charter schools, you should volunteer some time and work with the staff and students, the school is like no other, you'll be amazed.

Do you know if there are plans to build a pool in the new high school so that the Villages Charter School will not have to use the sports pools?
