Default Comcast monthly price increases

Comcast raised some pricing. Up 27 bucks no changes from last month? Anybody else get price hike?

After 1year our introductory rate ended and they raised ours about the same amount. Be persistent and get their retention dept. they lowered ours back down if we stayed for 2yrs. We now have an antenna and gave up cable.

Next time you are able to upgrade or drop them ask to be put on the no contact plan. I think it is 5 bucks more a month than the introductory rate and when u want to cancel they bend over backwards to continue giving a good rate. Worth a try anyway. It worked for us.

It's a shame we have to play "games" to get a decent price for cable and Internet . Its the same with all the providers of cable and Internet.

Default Deal ended?

We basically let comcast run us off cable tv with price increases and channel shifting. Never have missed it. Try for the retention dept.

I can only speak about my experience dealing with Comcast here in the Chicago area, but it sounds similar to what Comcast customers deal with in The Villages. One of my former coworkers whose wife used to work for Comcast said that customers need to call Comcast about every 6 months to one year to see what "deals" Comcast is offering to reduce your cable/internet bill.

As my budget will be leaner in the coming months due an employment transition, I called Comcast two nights ago to ask what deals are available. I got $12 a month knocked off my bill for the next 12 months as Comcast had a deal going on the HD cable box I use. As of May this year, I was paying $180 for cable/internet/phone. In June I contacted Comcast and got the bill down to $158 per month for the same service. After this Monday's call with Comcast the bill will be $146 per month for 12 months for the same service. It's a pain in the butt to have to contact Comcast every few months or so, but I will if I can save $34 per month.

It's not that way with Brighthouse. We have their internet and HD TV service, and the price has remained the same for the past three years.

Have you ever put your service on Vaction for 3 of 4 months? I have not had Brighthouse in TV but may give them a call. Thanks for the information.

I wish bright house serves the north part of the villages. In my area my only choice for cable is Comcast and century link hard wired and I had to have century link fiber optics ran my house which took too much time so went with Comcast bundle.

Any plans for Brighthouse to extend service north of 466?
