Default What the wife wants

Wife wanted a Lantana, that's what she got. It was cheaper than a divorce!

We weren't going to buy here ever.

Then we came on our lifestyle visit.

Sweetie thought it made more sense to have a villa. It seemed easier and safer to leave it.

So we bought a new Camellia already built. A designer.

Three and a half years later we sold the Camellia and built a Seabrook.

I loved the Camellia and I love the Seabrook.

I love our new neighbors. I miss our old neighbors but we still see the old neighbors every month at the social and I play golf with the girls every week. And have dinner with the old crowd frequently.

When we first were reading this forum, someone advised to get as MUCH garage as you can afford and I still think that is good advice. Also if you have room to make your lanai bigger that is nice too. Many have also said that some people move three times here. The cost of moving is very low and the ease of selling is very good. And it is easier once you have gotten rid of all that STUFF.

Some have moved to bigger houses and some have moved to smaller houses.

Choosing WHICH house isn't an easy decision. But sort of a fun one.

Default True

So it is true Gracie that many move two to three times in TV-

I think may of us Newbies are in shock form the beating we took selling our homes in the low market.

Never considered that TV sales would be a better resale market?

Thanks for the information.

Like Tommy Steam, our house is for sale (31 days now) and we hope to sell soon. We too plan to rent so we can get a good look around before choosing what to buy. We're leaning toward The Hammock, because of split bedrooms, and not wanting a formal dining space. Also, The Hammock is a downsize from our current 1,890 square foot home where we've PRE-SOLD all our furnishings!

Ours is an expanded Gardenia. Expanded 4 feet right through the middle. Allows the kitchen to have an island, bigger laundry room, and nook in the master bedroom. We bought it because we love the location. Even expanded I don't like the model. It is open which is nice, it has all the good options, however that model does not have closets. Two in the master bedroom and one in the guest bedroom. Absolutely no storage in that home. The home we owned before this one had 3 bedrooms each with a closet, a front door closet, and room to make extra storage in the laundry room. Plus an expanded huge garage. If I could have picked up that home and moved it to our location I would have. It was so much more useable then the Gardenia.

As someone else said, storage is a premium and the Cypress model has excellent storage. The Gardenia does not. It is probably the single reason I will at some point have to move again. Why they build such a nice home with so little storage space never ceases to amaze me.

Love the Seabrook for the storage. A separate under air storage room off the kitchen and walk in closets in all bedrooms. Storage is VERY nice to have.

We purchased a Grantham. Coming to TV April 22 to close on it. Loved the golfcourse view, the beautiful landscaping and the upgrades made by previous owner. The Grantham happens to be the model we stayed in during our LSV and we loved the layout. I've been watching the homes coming on the market for over two years and knew this was IT the moment I saw it. Very excited here!

We chose the iris, we like the angular walls in the entry. We are stretching the bedroom side of the house due to lot size so those wll be BIG! We do not plan on using the dining room as such, probably will put a bar there instead (what does that say about us); as someone said earlier, we have a breakfast nook and don't tend to do formal entertaining. We chose a lot on a pond so no close neighbors across from the lanai. We won't close until sometime in July but are here renting in Duval until the house is ready. Love the lifestyle already and looking forward to being in our own home.

Does anyone on TOTV own an Ivy model? I see the model on TV website under new homes but have never seen one under the new homes available for sale section.

Smile Rent for a while?

The people next door to me came down from Canada and rented for 6 months - they saw Hacienda Mission, bought the house and managed to negotiate out of the rental after one month. So renting can backfire on you. The best views and models sell out FAST. They released my water view 5 pm on Friday and I had it under contract at 5:10pm!!!
