Default Bought in Pennecamp

Just got back home from a week in TV. We put a deposit down on a lot in Pennecamp. Will be building a new designer home if I can sell the house up here. Really enjoyed our visit and all the nice people we met.

Congratulations on your purchase and good luck on selling your house. I also have a house I have to sell (not to mention cleaning out 26 years of stuff from the house including things from two children who moved out but left all their stuff behind).

Niels, hope you have an easy time of cleaning out and selling. I know what you mean about children moving out and leaving all their stuff behind. They take what they want and leave the junk and mess behind.

I'd love to be able to do that myself, now. Wouldn't it be nice to just gather up the stuff you want and head on off to The Villages...leaving all the other stuff behind!

Same thing here. I have my house in the villages. I am enjoying 10 days in the villages now. Have to go to 2011 to retire. Will have to sell house in RI next year and as everyone knows; rid ourselves of stuff that we don't need for this new lifestyle, snowblower will be the first thing to go!

Best of luck. You say "if I can sell..."

Will you loose the lot deposit if you can't? Just wondering as I was thinking of doing a similar thing.

Default Lot Deposit

Russ, the deposit holds the lot for 60 days. At the end of that period, you need to give TV 20% of the purchase price, or you can give another deposit of $2500.00 which extends the hold for another 60 days. If you end up not building, you forfeit your deposits.

and Russ, we were told by a neighbor whose sister is building that you can how only hold interior lots. I don't know if Actor can confirm that...

Default Lot Holds

Interior lots can be held for up to a year if you continue to add $2500 every 6months. Golf course lots can't be held after 60 days. We originally picked out a lot on Cane Garden, but decided against that lot because we are not sure how long it will take to sell our house, etc.

Hi Actor - Congrats to you too! What street are you building on? I bought a CYV on Adair Lane & I believe that Designer homes are going in directly behind me. Looking forward to meeting you guys. I should be there in early November. See you soon and

Default Our lot is on

Kirkwood Court. Not sure when we'll get there, since it all depends on when we get our house sold. I have a feeling it may take a few more weeks, and then it will take time for our house to be built.
