Jaspal,

I was surprised to hear that the artists in charge of the Art Studios at the Regional Recreation Centers are not paid anything by The Villages. They are volunteers. I am not sure how a person gets to be a teacher at the Life Long Learning College. They are paid.

I also have heard of people teaching in their own homes that are paid.

A good many artists sell their paintings at art events. There is a market for people who are decorating their homes.

I found this site that may be of interest. If it was already posted by someone, please forgive me. I need to catch up on my sleep.:

Thanks for the site. There are some very exciting workshops to take. I wish I would be there for the June 3rd workshop.

You might want to go to see the current art exhibits at the Hacienda rec center and the Sheriffs' Annex (near the intersection of 466 and Morse Blvd.)The Visual Arts Association hangs new shows every few months to give members a chance to show their work.
Most of the artists in The Villages belong to both this club, and to The Villages Art League. Both have web sites.( www.VisualArtsAssociation.com and www.thevillagesartleague.org.)
