Forgot to mention earlier that all I do on my telephone is, well, talk! So previous poster is definitely righ about some of the phones. But I do think CC has smart phones.

I just wanted to point out that they use AT&T lines if that was helpful to anyone. I do want to reiterate that they have the BEST customer service anywhere. I don't know what service we'll use when we get down there, but I sure hope it will work out to be Consumer Cellulaar. (No. I don't work for them!)

I had Verizon home phone, cellphone and internet in Maryland. Here we had to switch to Century Link for home and internet but we kept our Verizon cellphone. We've had no problems. We kept the same plan which is the senior plan $29.99 ($35 with tax) for 200 primetime and 300 night and weekend minutes. We don't use our phone much so that was plenty for us and it keeps the cost down. They don't advertise that plan, you have to ask for it.

I've used AT&T in TV for the past 6+ years, living south of 466, with absolutely no problems with reception.

You can always get out of the contract, you just have to pay the balance of the early out penalty.

Went to Verizon today. They do offer a senior plan to those seniors 65 or older. I told them I'd be back in three years
