I'm sure (sales/design) they do, but so does a car dealer for example.

As long as the cost is same it really doesn't matter does it?

I'm pretty sure that the reason they will not quote a rate over the telephone is that they need to check your credit score before they can provide the rate. The higher your credit score, the lower the loan rate. Using Citizens make life much less stressful, especially if you are not living in TV before your home is built.

I was there last week, they gave me a rate of 3.5%, without running any credit, didn't want extra inquires.

Same with BB&T and Amercs

No problem

Buying a new home and just locked into a 15 year at 3.0% at Citizen. My dealings have been simple, easy, polite, professional, and friendly. They never sell their mortages and the loan is serviced locally. My kind of bank.

I've been watching posts with interest because we should be buying very, very soon. I am not familiar with the BB&T. Citizens I've heard of. Thanks

I am mortgage shopping. Citizens first rates seem high. Can anyone recommend a local bank that provides loans and good rates and service?
