Default Golf Cart Drive Times

I can't tell from the maps, but how long does it take to get from place to place in TV via golf cart? Some of the distances look pretty far.

Default 15 min min

My wife and I figure 15 min at least to go anywhere, the winding around the roundabouts (on the trails) can be a bit tricky if you are not sure where your going,, You might think you cant get there from here,, but if your in the bubble, you can get to ANYWHERE else in the bubble... best thing to do if think you might be lost - just pull over and get the map out,, and someone will pull over and help you and it is a great way to meet kind people! If you are alone on the trail, just keep going enjoy the beauty of the area, you will come to a spot to where you can ask! Just remember we all got lost. The first time I was in a cart i took a golf cart over LSL bridge (a huge NO! NO!) cop just smiled, " you are new here arent you!" I had no idea! Needless to say, I have found the error of my way, and since learned it could have been VERY costly! Just enjoy, and take your time.

Some time ago I made a lengthy trip in my cart with my GPS. I averaged 16 MPH. My cart has not been modified so I did not exceed 20 MPH.

To determine distances you might try Google Earth. Go to "Tools" and select "Ruler" and you can measure distances. Remember, distances measured are "as the crow flies". The distance from CR42, northern point, to CR44, southern point, is about 8 miles as the crow flies.

If you are unfamiliar with Google Earth (a free program) PM me and I will try to help you install and use it. On the other hand, Google " Google Earth" and you can find out a lot about it.

Hope this helps.

BTW, actual distance via Buena Vista Blvd. would be about 12 miles by car and a little farther by cart.

Getting from one place to another depends on how far you are going????? I can get to Red Fish in one minute. It took me 21 minutes to go from Buttonwood to Hacienda on a cart yesterday.

My first real guide was: house to Publix in Southern Trace. It was measured by car as 4.5 miles. By golf cart, 21 minutes.

I still use that basic measurement as a guide. I also follow this simple rule of thumb: If I'm going to travel fairly far north of CR466 (or, now, south of CR466-A), then I'll probably feel more comfortable using the car rather than the electric golf cart!

House is in the middle of the Village of Sunset Pointe.

Default I am in Poinciana near St. Charles and Buena Vista

and I can get to Colony in about 15 min. and to Hacienda Rec. center in about 25 min. by cart. My challenge is to leave enough time to go by cart, which I love to do but can't seem to plan enough time for. I do not attempt to go to Mulberry or Chatham by cart cause I feel like I have to pack a lunch. Spanish Spring seems alot closer and is very doable.

It seems to work out for me that the cart takes double what the car takes. After you get there though, finding a parking space takes half what a car does. Just my experience.

We traveled today from the Polo fields to Bonifay Country Club in the cart, 9 miles, played 9 holes, drove to Beef O'Brady's via Belvedere and returned to the Polo Field area for a total of 23 1/2 miles. Electric Club Car handled it fine.

WE figure about 5 miles in 20 minutes. Polo to Bonifay 36 minutes. Polo to LSL 15 min, SS 18 min Traffic is crazy now so it make take a few minutes longer Polo to Mallory 20 min, palmer 10 min, lopez 12 min, Caine 20 min

In the summer we took a slow cart from Lopez to Bonifay area in 1 hour probably 50 min with our new cart

Default Word problem. Pay attention class. No cheating.

If the distance is 17 miles from tip to stern...(Orange Blossom Garden to Bonifay) and the average speed of a golf cart is 17mph, how many carpenters does it take to build a gazebo?

Lets see the time it takes from my home Tamarind Grove area to LSL. Leave house drive along then stop to talk to frendly people. Continue and see a great place to stop and look at the wonderful grass and trees. Notice some of the homes actually have people in them that appear to be relaxing. Some birds fly over head wow very nice. I continue on but stop to watch someone playing golf. Nice clean hit near the green. I continue and find a spot near the water in town. May be I will take a nap on one of the benches by the lake with the warm breeze and sunny sky over head. Look what a pretty cloud looks like a turtle. Hey there are fish in the lake. I eye the ice-cream store and wonder would that make a nice lunch. Total time I haven't a clue I am retired didn't even look at my watch once. To busy learning to relax.
