You may want to take your own advice. It did PREVIOUSLY state the adjusted times were for Executive courses and now says ALL GOLF COURSES have adjusted start times. I believe that is what Mrs.Guy is referencing.

Thank you Jayhawk. I'm putting it all together for the person with poor reading comprehension. You are correct he should take his own advice. You know what they say - "You can take the boy out of Long Island.... you just can't take the Long Island out of the boy."

A Long long time ago ( like year 2000 ) all the courses were empty and everyone lined up with no one minding the course and nothing bad happened. Then the word spread about the free golf and they started to abuse the course and non-golfers who never played the game started to drive golf cart even on the green and dig up the course. So the villages started to staff the course at least to prevent the chaos on the first ( or any ) tee box. When the line shortens ( if ever ) staffs go home so you may not see any staffs after 12:00 or so. If you go golf on that day, you need ultimate patience. You might have to wait 30 minutes on one hole till 4 some in front of you finish that hole after40+ shots without putting out.

Good Luck everyone. I hope the courses are playable on Monday.

Cheers!

When I lived with a home that was right in front of a green Christmas was a very funny day to watch the golf that was played , I mean I’m not a golfer so I’m sure I would have the same problem , but it was very funny all the same

Too cold to play, even for free.

Since they are not supposed to open until 11 am at the earliest and based on the current forecast, probably later, is there any chance that they will have free golf on another day? Has that happened in the past?

If you have a day of free golf and the course is closed for half the day, I would think the developer would make up for it somehow.

Don’t count on it, especially starting on January 1st when the busy season rates take effect.

I am sure they won’t do it after January 1 but the weather is supposed to be in the 70s and 80s the last three days of the year.

Free golf on Christmas is not designed as “one day a year” of free golf. It is one day a year they let all employees spend the day with their families and thus the courses are closed except for one volunteer at each course to keep some order until traffic lightens up. So I wouldn’t expect it moved to another day. Just bad luck the weather didn’t cooperate.
