It is one day a year they let all employees spend the day with their families and thus the courses are closed except for one volunteer at each course to keep some order until traffic lightens up. It’s actually a benefit to the staff, not the residents.
The other option is they just close the courses on Christmas Day, but with the posts on the squares closing, that would not go over well.

Sure they will just close every course for the day if free golf to make up for the weather this Christmas.

Date has already been determined, so make sure you write in your calendar.

For the non-golfing and/or clueless posters here I would like to remind them that 9 of the courses have set aside 1 nine for 9 hole play. If they open at 11 a.m. or so there will be time to enjoy some golf, maybe not 18 but 9. Schedule is in today's Daily Sun. If you hate the Developer and refuse to give them a quarter, maybe you can find it online.

I would have been playing today if I was there, why not? A great opportunity to get in a round with very few others playing and before the much higher busy season rates go into effect. Crack open a pair of hand warmers and enjoy a 2:45 minute round : ) Tomorrow, forget it!
