Default Heading Your Way

We (DW and I) will be visiting next month.
Actually, our plan was to shoot straight down to Key West, but over the course of the past couple of months I've heard so much good about TV that I convinced the wife to stop for a visit and tour.
We got a packet from TV, read Leisureville, and have been "lurking" here for awhile, so I already have a pretty good start on figuring things out.
I don't fully understand what the "bond" is all about, and whether it is the same as the Development District Assessment If someone could set me straight on that I'd be grateful.

Looking forward to the visit.

Hi JPatrick99,

Bill, as always, gave you a great link to answer your question. I just wanted to add a welcome to TOTV. Please, please tell us about your visit here. Can't wait to hear what your and DW think of the place.

Oh, I am suprised though about one thing Bill forgot to mention. Um... you might want to bring your checkbook.

Your wildest dreams of what TV is dont even come close till you're standing there live and in person with that silly grin on your face. Cant wait to sneak back in for the weekend in Feb.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes and helpful info. I now have a better grip on the VCDD.

In addition to monitoring the forums, I'm enjoying the webcams. Love seeing all the carts tooling around.
Really looking forward to next month.

Thanks again!!

Please read eveything first, it gets better.

We too read Lesisureville and had lunch in Spanish Springs in 1999 and thought not for us. My wife said to me whats with these people, have they lost it and are wearing rose colored glasses re the local govt., sinkholes cheap construction (our perception of 55+ communities before we visited some of the homes) etc.?

OK hold on. So Jan. 2012 we visited friends that are renting. My mind fairly open, hers definately not.

We all ordered a beer at the corner bar (don't know the name) around 3P the first day. While I wasn't looking someone "slipped" my wife the KOOLAID everyone mentions.

Holy crap; we came home talked to a realtor and are going back to TV for there LSV on Feb. 2 to purchase a house!

You do have to experience it yourself.

Please hold the rush of people until after we purchase, OK.

JPatrick99:

You have received great advice so to TOTV.

TV is a place that has to be seen to be believed. No words can do it justice.

You can read the "nuts and bolts" section wriiten bvy Zcaveman as it contains a lot of great information. So much info that it has three parts to it.

Here is a a thread that you can read and look for PTurner's advice.

Coming For A Visit

Please tells us how you enjoyed your visit.

BTW - Bill is right in that "you should bring your checkbook".

Bill and Brillo will never forget that evil laugh of mine when I gave them a cool refreshing drink and said...You look thirsty, my pretties.

Another two bit the dust.

NOTE to SELF:
Practice sniffing drinks while at the same time tightly gripping checkbook.
