Default Long Time Fan...First Time Posting

After 3 years of TV visits and close monitoring of this forum I've decided to pop up and say "Hi" to everyone. My name is Pat and my wife of 48 years is Peggy. We have been working our way toward moving to TV and are almost there!

We spent the past 2 years caring for my mother and her 2 sisters (my aunts) as they each slowly declined due to dementia. All 3 of these wonderful women passed away in May and April last year at 88,89 & 93 years of age.

Now Peg and I are trying to sell our house in Loganville, Ga. and once that's done, we plan to rent in TV until we can find the right property to buy...thinking of a CYV.

I check TOTV every day for information, advice and "entertainment". I enjoy all of your thoughts and hope to work my way into participating in some of the future discussions.

We hope to find a week to rent next month so we can look at some more homes. So far we've rented in Bonita, Santo Domingo, Liberty Park and Caroline.....loved them all!

Good luck in your transition...we just moved from Lawrenceville - so we were practically neighbors back in GA.

Welcome Welcome! Jump right in. You don't have to wait till you move here to join the conversation here. Hope your house sells quickly. Did you bury a statue of St. Joseph upside down in your front yard? (It works )

Thanks Gracie! Somehow I knew you'd be the first one to offer a warm welcome! We have deep roots in and around Cincinnati too and hope to share some nostalgia with you at appropriate times.

We have lived in Snellville since 1973 but can't wait to be "neighbors" in TV!

Thank you for your reply. We are still in a depressed home value market here and probably can't sell for what we think it's worth.

Don't have a St. Joseph statue....do you think an autographed photo of Ray Charles would do any good?

I'd take the St, Joseph anyday, because that's my first name.

to TOTV and best wishes for the quick sale of your home and eventual move.

I sold my condo at the lowest time in the real estate market and got half of what it was worth so I feel your pain.

One thing you might want to ask yourself, "What is it worth, to get on with your life"?

For me being in TV was priceless!!!!

Lost lots of money on the sale of condo, and made most of it up, with the increased prices in TV since I bought.

We are blessed to be in TV.
