Default Kitchen Cabinets

The Kitchen Cabinets in our new Begonia seem to be more shallow than in our other homes, possibly 12 inches deep vs. 15 inches. Anyone else have this?

Never measure, but thinking about it I believe you are right. Sometimes I have to move my plates around to get the door to close.

We set up our villa last week and had several items (dish drainer, platters, .....) that we gave to the folks setting up the cable. They simply didn't fit and had to replace with less than standard sizes.

The real issue I had was reaching over the fridge on my little step stool attempting to put things in the cupboard above. I'm not overly tall, but never had an issue before reaching the cupboard.

We adapted and everything worked out fine once we realized there was about a 3" difference. Just has to use some creativity.

Standard cabinets are 12" deep for uppers and 24" for lowers. Deeper cabinets are sometimes installed to the side of refrigerators to give a more flush appearance, but this is not standard.
